(Courting may be a generous term.)

THIS IS AN ADULT ONLY GAME.

Ties between the kingdom and the realm of demons are … contentious. Every so often, in an effort to keep the peace, the kingdom appoints a court demon—a demon of high rank within the demon realm who acquires a similarly high rank in the kingdom’s court and fulfills official duties unique to their skills and power. And, naturally, it would be an insult not to provide the court demon with an appropriate dedicated servant.

You are that servant (or maybe you are that demon). For whatever reason, you were chosen for a position that terrifies most. And you are ecstatic about it. The court demon is a being of horror and beauty and, though the nature of demons is inherently confusing, you’re almost entirely certain they reciprocate your interest in them.

Courting the Court Demon is a game of thirsty epistolary in the form of writing reports on the affairs of the kingdom and including personal additions in them for the eyes of the Dedicated Servant and Court Demon only. Exchange reports and responses to those reports, be weird, be awkward, be horny, be endearing, and, most of all, engage in ye olde sexting on company time with your new demonic master.

Love this game but my eyes have gotten worse since I last played this. Any chance of a version thatcs printer-friendly/has a light background so that it's readable for people with astigmatism?

Heya! I just put up a new printer friendly version! If there's anything else I can do to make it more accessible for you, please let me know! Thank you so much for playing and letting me know.

I've looked through the heart background as well as the greyscale one and for some reason opening in firefox makes letter from the titles disappear (doesn't in microsoft). Also on page 7 the text cuts off with "... Dedicated Servant prior to play and" also hearts ver seem to have one less example than greyscale? Is this intentional? I will come back once I've played it to end but I cannot for the life of me come up with how to act at the first prompt 8 of Hearts, it doesn't feel like I know anything about the world to even guess what happens in it.

Hello!

Most of what you mentioned shoooould be fixed now. Thank you so much for pointing it out! If I missed anything, please forgive me, I am a little bit ill right now. But make sure to tell me and I'll fix it as soon as possible.

And for some help with the prompt 8 of Hearts and some info on the setting: the setting is left intentionally vague so that you can do whatever you want with it, which isn't great for everyone but suited the friends who I had test the game. I should probably come back and give at least an optional more solid setting, though, so thank you so much for telling me that.

About some possible options for a prompt like 8 of Hearts: the suit, color, and number don't all have to be describing the same element if that helps any. For an 8 of Hearts, you could, on a more personal note, talk about how you wished your relationship could be public, as well as inform the demon about unrelated events involving the human political world, like a significant political marriage taking place.

Oh, and the one less example was technically initially intentional, except I changed my mind about it last second. I believe the example left out of one version was the gorey one and I wanted to give the option of not having a pdf with it initially. I'm just a little dumb is all and forgot to fix it when I changed my mind, I think.
